AKIN
Akin is an exploratory project that seeks creative ways to give surplus fabrics new significance and purpose. This stool is the first iteration and symbolises the starting point of a creative journey. It plays an important role in defining the project’s initial direction and future possibilities.

Materials:
American white oak.
Surplus velvet and mohair.
Off-cut foam, wool and underlining.
During the making of the stool, all off-cuts were documented and stored. It is a way to gain greater understanding of what happens to materials during the making process.
