NEISTAFLUG / SPARK TO FLOW

Neistinn á sér upphaf, neistinn flýgur, neistinn getur tendrað eld og neistinn getur kulnað. Leikur að orðinu neisti kveikti sköpunarferlið. Áfram þróaðist ferlið með tjáningu og samtali milli hönnuðar og gullsmiðs. Upphaf, hreyfing, og endalok eru lykil vangaveltur í samstarfinu og leitast er við  að góma þessa athugun á eiginleikum neistans í silfrinu. Hinu óáþreifanlega ferli neistans er mótað í físísku efni þar sem innsæi og handbragði er beitt til sköpunar og túlkunar.

The spark begins, the spark flies, the spark can ignite and the spark can die out. Playing with the word spark, set the creative process in motion. The process then developed further through expression and dialogue between designer and goldsmith. The themes of beginning, motion, and ending guide the collaboration, aiming to embody the spark’s qualities in silver. The intangible motions of a spark are shaped into physical material, where intuition and craftsmanship are applied in creation and interpretation.
